- jimnotgym 1y agoThat's the thing with antitrust. They already did it, they already got the advantage. The penalties need to be enormous to reverse the advantage they already took
- karmakaze 1y agoCurrent title "Japan orders Google to stop favoring Google Search, Chrome on Android" is better. At this point even if search and browser were completely neutral choices on Android it wouldn't change things much. Search is even losing relevance to LLMs.

- johnea 1y agoThe thing Japan's FTC was worried about was a bit of a mystery to me. A search app? One doesn't start a browser and go to a search page? Sorry, I don't run the goggle malware, so I wasn't aware...
