US treasuries and the US dollar both have taken a colossal hit that is going to reverberate into much greater consequences. It is the hit on TBills that forced Trump's retreat, which his weird cult now need to spin into some 4D chess. Not "Haha now I've got them where I want 'em!" These pauses and this chaos is literally the worst of both worlds. Christ, he would have done better either cancelling them or going full bore. Congress needs to remove his ability to levy tariffs under his imaginary emergencies.
