PowerToys Command Palette Utility
- rs186 1y agoI don't understand why PowerToys is not part of the Windows OS and gets updated regularly.
- dole 1y agoReplacing PowerToys Run (Windows Finder) ... read hn's top articles from windows search. Salute to the pandering, I didn't use Run but looking forward to trying this out.
- natebc 1y agoI've liked it so far. It is what the start menu search SHOULD be!
- vladde 1y agoThe only feature I want from PowerToys is an application switcher like Spotlight / Alfred on macOS (not an application launcher). Bug report has been open for years: https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/issues/5962 https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/issues/5962
- ChocolateGod 1y agoThis could replace the start menu for me if it could bind to the Windows key. I can't undo decades of muscle memory.
- Numerlor 1y agoYou can't directly map it to the win key, but you can use the keyboard manager to remap one (or both) of the win keys to a shortcut you then assign to command palette https://u.numerlor.me/zRq6PA https://u.numerlor.me/zRq6PA
- Henchman21 1y agoIs there a Power Toy to turn off telemetry and ads?
- SockThief 1y agoDoes 'O&O ShutUp10++' fit the bill perhaps? Edit: I'm a grateful user since at least 5 years. Can't imagine Windows without it.
- soupfordummies 1y agoNever seen this, looks nice. Quite the name though
- philonoist 1y agoA good alternative is Listary v4[0] and Fluent-search[1] [0] https://bopsoft.com/ https://bopsoft.com/ [1] https://www.fluentsearch.net/ https://www.fluentsearch.net/ Fun fact - Fluent search comes with vim-easymotion like navigation built in. Now beat that Microsoft!
