Show HN: VaporVibe – auto-generate video demos for vibe-coded projects
Hi HN,
I built VaporVibe as a fun April Fools hack: https://vapor.influme.ai/ https://vapor.influme.ai/
It auto-generates short video demos for your side projects. Just drop in a GitHub repo and a public URL where it’s hosted, and it creates a clean video walkthrough of the app.
It’s designed for the kind of projects that are 90% vibe, 10% code, and not quite ready for launch… but still deserve a trailer.
Example project:
https://github.com/cndn/recipe-discovery-playbook https://github.com/cndn/recipe-discovery-playbook — vibe-coded, demo in the README.
Would love any feedback on UX, performance, or ideas on what else to support. Thanks!
- RileyJames 1y agoGetting a 400 on generate. Is this a joke? Or should it generate something?
- gmdnn 1y agoHey I updated instructions on connecting on private repo. Earlier ones might not be clear: (0) Only connect those private repos that you feel comfortable to share with us. (1) To connect to a private repository, toggle the private repository option and click the "Connect" button to see the "How to create a fine-grained token" instructions. (2) You'll need a fine-grained token with at least "Contents" read permission to access private repositories.
- gmdnn 1y agoThe process should take ~5 minutes. You could find it in "my demos" after generation
- RileyJames 1y agoIt was a public repo. These were the inputs: https://github.com/Rodeoclash/vodon-pro https://github.com/Rodeoclash/vodon-pro https://vodon-pro-website.vercel.app/ https://vodon-pro-website.vercel.app/
- gmdnn 1y agoAh it could be some supabase edge function resource limit issue, fixing.
