I am thankful that there are some challenges that providence has deemed fit to deny me.
- LarsDu88 2y agoI think your confusing providence with medical science in the form of vaccinations, blood thinners, and Mr. Dahl's contributions to hydrocephalus relief
- praptak 2y agoScience is great but there are still plenty of diseases and lots of other stuff that leads to tragedies. If you happen not to have to deal with any of this, it is still just providence.
- khazhoux 2y agoThe providence of being here and now, a time where those exist, a country where good medical care is available, and the means to afford it.
- cafeinux 2y agoA child could die from cancer or from falling while playing, and no vaccination or blood thinner can prevent this. I can understand op's reference to providence in not having to face these tragedies.
- croes 2y agoI think parents means not dying from measles thanks to vaccines. One risk less.
- LarsDu88 2y agoYeah, but his kid died of measles, and his other kid got hit by a car (something that is actually also solvable with technology). Literally every problem discussed in the article was solvable or mitigatable with science or technology, except the political problem of fascism, which was effectively solved by 20 mm cannon fire from Dahl's Spitfire fighter plane.
