Siri's real AI upgrade could still be years away
- aurareturn 2y agoApple was really far behind in the LLM race. And now they have to come up with a solution that will work on 3 billion devices, across every country, and with the level of control/polish/mistake-free that we come to expect from Apple products. It's not easy for them. As an AAPL holder, my biggest worry is that by the time they come up with something decent, it won't matter because no one will use it. Everyone will use ChatGPT or whatever is the best. I'm a believer that LLMs make iOS less important because the LLM app could potentially replace a huge portion of iOS functionality, including many apps that you'd pay for.
