I remember in 2012-13 facebook didnt even have a delete account option only deactivate. I dug deep enough to stumble across a facebook delete link in their community support or something. I made sure to change all my details and then i used that link to delete my account. Used my friends account to verify if it was actually deleted or not. Never visited facebook since. Its great!
