Touchscreen dashboards have taken over and ruined driving
- Terr_ 2y agoCapacitative screens also don't work with gloves, which a driver might be wearing in certain climates. (Are manufacturers pushing heated steering wheels to compensate?) I know you can buy gloves variously advertised as "works with your phone", but I've never been impressed with their performance, either for interaction or as comfortable hand-covers.
- gibbitz 2y agoNot to mention the screen accuracy sucks too. So even without gloves I'm struggling to get a tap to register in both of my cars.
- infotainment 2y agoThey really need to be banned. It's unfortunate that it's come to that, but non-physical controls are a safety nightmare.
