Unlike other chorded keyboards I've seen[1], this one seems to take an Xbox-y approach using directional modifiers (default layout: https://docs.charachorder.com/_images/CCEnglish2.png https://docs.charachorder.com/_images/CCEnglish2.png ) > CharaChorder One's 3-D switches (5-way tactile) detect multi-directional movement rather than the 1-D switches used by a traditional typewriter/keyboard. I am 100% positive it would be awesome for someone who used it all the time but I, personally, cannot talk[2] and translate into computere-ese at the same time. Hard pass. 1: my first contact was with Twiddler 2: in this specific context, "talk" includes the subvocalization that I just seemingly cannot get rid of. Even typing this out I am essentially just writing what the voice in my head is saying :(

    Thanks for bringing that up! I like that it appears to have a more sane license, too But, I'll be honest: from just the YouTube video it seems like those strong magnets make this much closer to what I'd want from a portable keyboard. I have very, very grave concerns about where I'd put my phone to keep it away from the magnets, but otherwise it seems right up my alley

      Good point. Fortunately, the same magnets can screw into the back of the Harite v2. If you search for "1/4" mount magsafe" you'll find a lot of examples that are relatively low cost. Terrible video, really interesting device. Everyone is a youtube/tiktok videographer now, yet somehow people fail to create a compelling video. Why is the mic there? Perhaps a simple gimmick like ducktape over the mouth?
