Installing Windows 11 on a MicroSD Card on the Steam Deck OLED
- fuzzfactor 2y agoThis same type of logic can be applied with other devices and media. Basically a workaround ordeal to overcome a lngering defect in current Windows where the supposedly-reliable regular installation process still fails miserably quite often. Compared to Linux it's a little bit embarassing when Linux has gotten more & more reliable with GUI alone hardly ever failing any more, across various devices and media, which is exactly what you need with such a wide spectrum of configurations out there. That's why they call them PC's and not Mac's. I've mentioned this before but the need for the command line in Windows is growing exponentially while in Linux it continues to decline slowly, but at least that's a noticeable improvement for Linux. The sad part is that not that many decades ago you could go for years at a time in Windows and accomplish all kinds of advanced things without needing the command line at all. That was kind of the idea of Windows to begin with, so nobody would need a DOS prompt any more.
