I’d like to add: Programs should not add files to your home directory and should respect XDG_CONFIG_HOME and friends.
- kelnos 2y agoI agree, but this article is -- as the author tries to make clear -- descriptive, not prescriptive. She's listing out the things she's seen commonly in applications, not trying to convince applications that they should behave in certain ways.
