  I mean, the proles did vote the way they were told. The problem is that they didn't vote the way "the party" wanted them to.

  The next logical step should be to jail these pesky bad voters. If they supported the candidate, whose crime was to campaign on TikTok, then they are clearly complicit in that crime and put the democracy in danger. May be they even use TikTok themselves! I'm sure all this can be convincingly justified using the "paradox of tolerance" phrase.

  The problem is they were told which way to vote by the Kremlin's proxies. And in a sneaky way. There's some history there: >During the Soviet occupation of Romania, the communist-dominated government called for new elections in 1946, which they fraudulently won, with a fabricated 70% majority of the vote. and then they were stuck with an iffy Russian backed dictatorship until: >Ceaușescu greatly extended the authority of the Securitate secret police and imposed a severe cult of personality, which led to a dramatic decrease in the dictator's popularity and culminated in his overthrow in the violent Romanian Revolution of December 1989 in which thousands were killed or injured. After that they probably thought enough with Russia rigging elections and imposing dictators already.
