- mock-possum 2y agoI always have to remind myself that scams like these are poorly presented on purpose, to encourage only the most credulous marks to participate.
- hi-v-rocknroll 2y agoProbably because the boiler room indentured servant/foreign imported slave the scammer criminal gangs maintain would have difficulty extracting money from a mark with any level of sophistication or agency.
- threecheese 2y agoThe coincidence of receiving one of these emails (with home picture), shortly followed by the first ever MacOS notification to upgrade from MalwareBytes Free for 40% off, and then seeing this MB post has me feeling … conspiratorial. That email sure did raise my heart rate for a moment :)
