- dotcoma 2y agoWe have two: Mojeek, from the UK, have their own index, and Qwant, from France, have their own index for websites in French (they resort to Bing, Yandex etc for other languages).

- toomuchtodo 2y agoIt defends an economy and citizens from US Big Tech. The evidence is strong you cannot rely on the orgs in question to act in good faith. Very similar to countries standing up instant payment systems via their central banks vs relying on Visa and Mastercard. Economic colonialism ends poorly for the target country.
