I realize this is off topic but I always wonder what causes stories to bounce off the front page. It was on the front page, then suddenly it wasn't in the top 300 posts (I didn't check any further), and now it's back on the front page - all without having a single comment. EDIT - and after adding this comment, once again this post is nowhere to be found near the front page.
