I used to be extremely left. These days people would describe me as right, some probably easily described as far far far extreme right because I'm exactly like I was in the 90s.
So I guess we must have had an extremely Authoritarian government in the 90s in the US.
That website is all about censorship - seems pretty authoritarian to me.
- keepamovin 2y agoYeah that's a bit of a meme right? The faaar left describes anything centrist as far right because that's how it seems from their extreme point of view. I was bringing it up because of what RFKJr said about the possibility of a "contingent election" where if the other parties tie, then that happens. Never heard of that, found it interesting, so I posted. I see now that site is trying to pooh-pooh the whole idea. Inconvenient rules, huh? Until they aren't -- indeed, a site with a less-biased approach that wasn't trying to undermine the notion of contingent election would have been a post more inline with my intentions. Huh! The site design fooled me - I thought it would be sort of American and constitutionalist, talking about the procedure of the thing - hahaha! :)
