Typically, those stats usually showcase countries which are NOT in the EU: Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland. And anyway, European countries were like that before the EU.

Those are individual countries doing great (some not so great, some economies bankrupted etc, but still) I asked about the brussels bubble. Only the privacy laws are relevant. I can't say that it made a dent to our overall privacy, since our tech is US based and we have no idea where our data really are.
