Contrary to popular belief, you still "pay" for health insurance in the UK and Canada, it just comes out of your paycheck and numbers wise it's still the same. The exception is you don't have copays and deductibles but those aren't ever arduous and now that I've been using HSAs, it's negligible and a great hack at investing which is really what I use it for.
