Show HN: StudyChat – Convert YC Videos into Quizzes and Retain What You Learn
- AayushM 2y agoBuilt a tool that takes in podcasts, documents and website to generate AI Quizzes within 1 minute, designed to help you retain knowledge better. Try out this quiz I created for the recent YC video: https://www.studychat.app/quiz/1024-tarpit-ideas-the-sequel https://www.studychat.app/quiz/1024-tarpit-ideas-the-sequel Or create your own at: www.studychat.app Let me know what you think!
- mreichhoff 2y agolooks neat! Is the quiz itself what helps with retention, or is this combined with spaced repetition or some other memory technique?
- AayushM 2y agoYea! The quiz is a way to quickly review any topic days/weeks after consuming them. I'm still figuring out the spaced repetition workflow. I'm experimenting with creating a memory database for each user after doing a quiz. For example, if you did a YC quiz and we're getting questions related to "equity" incorrect, it will take that into account when generating the next quiz. Happy to have a chat! You could dm me on twitter: @Aayush_Mathur7 or email: aayush@studychat.app
- gravity2060 2y agoLove this. I am your ICP. Would need baked-in spaced repetition though. What’s it going to cost? How granular will it be. (ie, how many questions does it make for cuz content? What is the sensitivity for that?)
- AayushM 2y agoYes, I'm planning to bake in spaced repetition here, figuring out the workflow. The free tier gives you 10 quiz generations + document uploads while pro tier (~9$/mo) is unlimited for both. The granularity can be controlled based on your use case. Dropped you an email, happy to have a chat :)
- gerroo 2y agoI built something similar for research papers (https://paperpilot.app https://paperpilot.app). I like how clean the UI is :)
