McDs customers mostly know what they want: _cheap_ burgers, fries, and sodas. If one wanted healthy food, they'd go elsewhere. In the area I live in, very few want a salad from McDs, they instead go to sweetgreen, tender greens, moonbowls or any # of salad specialty shops around here. If one wants a good juicy burger, they go elsewhere also. L.A. is not short on great burger and salad joints. For many people, McDs will never be equated with healthy food no matter what they try. That ship sailed a long time ago.
