- pixl97 2y agoBecause it's very very hard to ensure modern computers dont have storage integrated into some unexpected part. UEFI on board can have a pretty significant amount of storage. All kinds of other devices can have storage in them too. Rather than ensure everything has been erased, they grind up the whole thing.
