It looks like just saying yes buys you an extra 3 months and paid time off to interview to find a new job.
- oatmeal_croc 2y agoYou usually need to return relocation costs if you quit within a year, and they'd lose out on the severance as well.. But yes, it does make sense for some people especially ones on a work based visa.

- analognoise 2y agoYeah but why bother if the severance is that good? Just take the money and run.
- exe34 2y agoit's often easier to get a new job when you already have one. the severance would have to be worth a significant number of months of pay before it pays for the longer time looking for a job afterwards.
