Microsoft removes instructions on how to set up local accounts in Windows 11
- mikhael28 2y agoAmateur hour over there. I’m not sure what’s going on at Microsoft, but it really seems like the quality of the decision making on the product level has gone down a lot in the Windows org.
- cqqxo4zV46cp 2y ago“Quality or the decision-making” == “They’re making decisions that I as a consumer am not a fan of”. You aren’t smarter than [whoever made this decision at] Microsoft. Your goals are just at odds with theirs.
- arresin 2y agoThat’s a fair point. Their goal is to turn it into a platform like how Google has the web. Where they have basically full information on the targets for advertisers (and for strategic business decisions).
- LocalH 2y agoLMAO, at the bottom of the "switch local to Microsoft account" instructions, they say "Sign back in with your new local account". This was also the case before they removed the Microsoft-to-local instructions.
