Sans Bullshit Sans (2015)
- HasanYousef 2y agoI like how “startup” gets replaced with bullshit

- upmostly 2y agoSynergy wasn't replaced.
- bluescrn 2y agoIt does in all-lower-case
- jakelsaunders94 2y agoHaha, synergy was my go-to first word too. I’m still not sure what it means.
- bitwize 2y agoIt's Jem's holographic glam rock AI. Also Greek for "working together". In corporate buzzspeak it means everybody aligned and working toward the same goal -- return on investment for our shareholders.
- pteraspidomorph 2y agoI pasted the lyrics for Mission Statement by Weird Al. I got ten bullshits (including synergy) and four bullfuckingshits, which were for: globalization, downsized, and paradigm shift (x2).
- greenyoda 2y agoVideo of Mission Statement by Weird Al: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyV_UG60dD4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyV_UG60dD4 Song info and lyrics: https://weirdal.fandom.com/wiki/Mission_Statement https://weirdal.fandom.com/wiki/Mission_Statement
- bitwize 2y agoI once attended an all-hands meeting at work. They literally had a lady there drawing those sort of whiteboard cartoons as seen in the Mission Statement video while the meeting went on -- and that was her entire job. Companies hire her to summarize meeting points with twee little cartoons on a (virtual at the time, because pandemic) whiteboard; and then an image is saved and made available to all attendees as part of the meeting minutes.
- FranchuFranchu 2y agoI asked ChatGPT to craft a story to maximize the amount of bullshits. This is the result: https://pastebin.com/raw/zM9h6Cau https://pastebin.com/raw/zM9h6Cau , with 9 BSs, 36 bullshits, and 20 bullfuckingshits
- Terretta 2y agoGPT autonomous generation sans human optimization? Paradigm shiftingly best-in-class next-gen deliverable!
- hnlmorg 2y agoThat was the first word I tried and it was censored as expected. What was the sentence you used ‘synergy’ in?
- rrr_oh_man 2y agoMissing: batteries-included, lightweight, simple, rewritten in Rust
- bluescrn 2y agoAlso anything to do with 'Web 3.0'/cryptononsense and AI.
- pessimizer 2y ago"Ideation" when not preceded by "suicidal" and especially when followed by "period," "stage" or "phase." edit: This is a good case for including AI in a font. Maybe in the future all fonts will have AI that keeps people from saying things with them. edit2: are we flagging for Rust slander now?
- Tao3300 2y ago[bullshit] in a font.
- deleted 2y ago[deleted]
- shever73 2y ago…and “blue sky thinking” and anything to do with “synergies”.
- ChrisArchitect 2y ago(2015) Wondering if the avalanche of buzzwords since has been added
- ChrisArchitect 2y agoHm, guess not https://github.com/RoelN/SansBullshitSans https://github.com/RoelN/SansBullshitSans
- wwalexander 2y agoThe blog post explaining the implementation[0] says the source of the buzzwords was a list “250 Buzzwords We Love To Hate” published on May 13, 2014[1]. - Tao3300 2y agoI was expecting blockchain to set it off, but no.
- ChrisMarshallNY 2y ago"Leveraging the synergy of ligatures" sets it off.
- Firehawke 2y agoNeeds "do the needful" for completion's sake.
- mock-possum 2y agoUgh I can’t stand that one. I know it’s unfair of me, plenty of Indians use it as a totally normal phrase, but it’s just comes off as so awkward and cringy to my ears, like a parent reminding a potty-training child to use the bathroom before they have an ‘accident.’
- educasean 2y agoOur lives have been bullshit sans sans bullshit sans.

- smusamashah 2y agoI have been using this bookmarklet which replaces all BS terminology with the word bullshit https://mourner.github.io/bullshit.js/ https://mourner.github.io/bullshit.js/ Its fun to see when an article lights up top to bottom with this pink shade of bullshit.
- geor9e 2y ago12 years earlier, there was an iteration of this idea called "Bullfighter". It didn't use clever ligatures though. https://www.tampabay.com/archive/2003/06/14/ole-deloitte-confronts-jargon/ https://www.tampabay.com/archive/2003/06/14/ole-deloitte-con... https://bullfighter.software.informer.com/1.2/ https://bullfighter.software.informer.com/1.2/
- joelthelion 2y agoI wish Microsoft would set this as the default in outlook and teams...
- lostlogin 2y ago‘New’ Teams might trigger the filter?
- john1633 2y agoThe link about ligatures under the textbox leads to a page about selling annuities.
- erik_seaberg 2y agoLooks like the host started returning errors after this version from 2018, and then in 2022 someone bought the domain or host and did not preserve any content. https://web.archive.org/web/20180423125746/http://stateofwebtype.com/ https://web.archive.org/web/20180423125746/http://stateofweb...

- kmoser 2y agoI typed something in the box and...nothing happened. What am I missing? I tried with both Chrome and Firefox (latest versions).
- deleted 2y ago[deleted]
- zetsurin 2y agoPresume it's the text below, and maybe you have to have the font installed? >Take heed! This only works if your browser supports ligatures
- osrec 2y agoDid you type words that are likely to be considered bullshit?
- kmoser 2y agoThat was the problem. I typed "Leveraging cloud based infrastructure" which apparently wasn't bullshitty enough.
