There was an interesting series on TV, "Downey's Dream Cars", where Robert Downey Jr. did conversions of some of his gasoline cars to various renewable-driven engines, electric, biofuel etc. On one of these, the original plan was to put in a manual electric drive, which I was looking forward to seeing, but unfortunately that got cut as there wasn't room for the manual transmission. Anything that gets petrol-heads on board with EVs is good IMO, hope they don't get burned for it.
