G2 edited my 1 star review to a 5 star Review without my consent
I gave Merge.dev a 1 star review on G2 after my poor experiences with them(https://www.g2.com/products/merge/reviews/merge-review-8334916)
I did so with a company account but I had left that company in mid 2023 yet I recently saw that the review had been changed to a 5 star review in Janurary 2024?
How is this legal and is there any way I can get this fixed?
- busymom0 2y agoCan you tweet at them regarding this?
- thexumaker 2y agoI don't use twitter :(

- thexumaker 2y agoThe biggest thing is I no longer have access to the email address where I wrote the review and I wonder if they recognized that and went and edited it since I wouldn't be checking?
- kugelblitz 2y agoIs it a company email which they control now? Maybe that's how they changed it.
- ChrisArchitect 2y agoTell HN:
- thexumaker 2y agoWhat do you mean tell HN? I don't use this site that much, like do I just tag the submission with it?
- fakedang 2y agoYou preface the title with Tell HN. Helps boost visibility and gets the point across quickly. Else people would have thought your post was a link to an article or something and wouldn't have bothered reading through it.
- ChrisArchitect 2y agoTag your title if possible, but if can't anymore no problem, just tagging for future text searches etc
- ezekg 2y agoMaybe they reached out to the company you previously worked for, and the company changed the review?
- JennyGardynski 2y agoHi there - I work for G2 and can help. I just checked in with our moderation team, who confirmed they did not edit this review. They'd love to dig into this with you to determine what happened here and advise you on how to edit the review to ensure your latest rating/opinion is reflected. Please email them here & they'll be ready to help: concerns@g2.com.
