Thank you for your reminder.
I will follow your advice in future discussions. Usually, I just read other people's posts and rarely attempt to share my own insights.
I am very grateful for your guidance, and I would be happy to learn more from you if you have any other helpful suggestions for participating in discussions on HackerNews.
- gus_massa 2y agoTry to share your insight in whatever topic you are an expert. (Or a semi-expert. For example if you see me commenting about biology, please double check the info because my biology knowdledge is not so strong.) Sometimes a good question is also helpful to get a good discussion. > if you have any other helpful suggestions There is a lot of folckore, I'm not sure if it's collected somewhere. Some random links: Welcome page: https://news.ycombinator.com/newswelcome.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newswelcome.html (It's shown only once. I'd prefer it were linked somewhere in the site.) Launch HN recomendations: https://news.ycombinator.com/yli.html https://news.ycombinator.com/yli.html (It's writen for internal use of YC companies, but if you ignore the specific parts there is lot of good recomendations.) Undocumented HN features: https://github.com/minimaxir/hacker-news-undocumented https://github.com/minimaxir/hacker-news-undocumented (It's an unofficial list of features mantained by minimaxir.)
