Interesting; is that the same for banks / building security? That sounds like it disallows dash cams too? edit: did some digging on dash-cams, seems like they're legal if they're recording on a loop, and save permanently with some user-interaction. Security cameras must have signs, and not cover outside your property. Storage is (suggested? allowed?) for 24-48 hours. You can request footage of yourself from anyone (even private?), but they have 1 month to reply to a request - so seems practically pointless given the recording storage length.
