Jeff Bezos emails Amazon exec
- cssinate 2y agoThis reads like a corporate phishing email. Probably came from jeff.bezos@therealamazon.com
- s17n 2y agoIf it was a phishing email it would have a signal username, not just "use signal"
- ranger_danger 2y agoAFAIK Signal usernames didn't exist in 2020.
- ece 2y agoExecs can only use E2EE for personal purposes, not business.
- cranberryturkey 2y agoIs this a law or something?
- ece 2y agoWell, considering an outbreak of destroyed evidence seems to be happening in the courts, with some accountability hopefully it will be an unwritten law. But of course Congress could also get involved.
- greyface- 2y agoShould we outlaw executives having business-related phone calls or face-to-face conversations, too?
- ranger_danger 2y agoAnd if those calls weren't recorded, is that going to be destruction of evidence too? Where is the line drawn and who gets to say where?
- tivert 2y ago> Should we outlaw executives having business-related phone calls or face-to-face conversations, too? Or outlaw writing their memos on flashpaper? Really, their written communications need to be discoverable. And it wouldn't be unreasonable to require at least notes be taken of their phone calls and meetings.
- ranger_danger 2y agoto me this is like saying a casual conversation in the park is destruction of evidence just because you didn't record it
- ranger_danger 2y agoNope, just their opinion
