On July 19th, 2021 I walked into a private emergency room and somehow convinced them to prescribe me something to treat my alcohol withdrawal (I was down to 2 hours of sobriety before withdrawal was setting in). It was a 15 day supply of Librium that I managed to stretch to about 30 days or so. Anyways, I've been sober ever since and I'm still very thankful for that doctor's compassion which undoubtedly saved my life.
