You may be genuine, but an ad in the middle of a heartfelt confession seems like emotional manipulation. It's not the best look for your product which now seems like it can't stand on its own. Also, this type of post is extremely common as a "sacred ritual" to get paying customers attention.
If this isn't spam be honest about what you are trying to sell. At the very least tailor your ad to the website you're on.
- devrimco 3y agoIt is not an ad or spam, I'm selling it. I made and published it today on ProductHunt. Do you know how devastating it is when you create something there is nowhere and no way to reach an audience? And then I got those feelings and wrote it here. And that's how I feel and tell everyone who have never heard of news.ycombinator.
- devrimco 3y agoPlus I'm a solo-developer giving away free accounts there, being right now currently diminished by some huge corporations feeding ad money to the service. I don't actually count as some evil mega-corp.
- devrimco 3y agoAlso if we are not going to publish whatever we created on the internet what the hell is it for? What are we supposed to do? Why the hell the only troubled thing someone sharing what they created for profit and for others to use? But it is well-accepted that they can share shaking their ass on social media for promoting their OnlyFans account?
