The humans checking your cart and receipt at Walmart seems worst?
- karaterobot 3y agoI don't know what you have to agree to to be a Walmart customer, but: > Tsai, who is also a business lawyer, says retailers can't enforce receipt checks unless they witnessed a shopper stealing, or their customers have signed up for a store membership, such as at Costco, where they agreed to the checks. Check your local laws, but I believe this is generally true. I'm fairly sure you can just say "no thanks" and keep walking. This is what I used to do at Fry's electronics. Probably a hundred times, and they never did anything except grumble occasionally. I know you're doing your job, but I paid for this stuff, it's mine, and no you can't take a look at it.
- Brian_K_White 3y agoThat's what I do. If you want to accuse me of something, the go ahead and state it and let's consult the camera footage. If you have no such accusation to make, then gtfo. Go ahead, please do call the cops.
