Steam games are removed all the time, why are you confident they won't be removed?

  By the publishers and owners of the games, as it is their legal right. Not by Steam.

    The difference is, the company can remove the game from the store, but not my games library. I can still continue to play them long after purchase.

      Exactly, I have a few games that are not listed or sold in Steam, and I can still install and play them.

    Usually just removed from sale, I haven't had any games outright removed from my library. However there have been many cases where developers pushed an update that removed content, which is really the same problem.
