Sold my startup but Stripe don't allow country changes to accounts?
- mtmail 3y agoWe moved country 4 years ago and Stripe's customer service was easy to work with. They moved all customer accounts and subscriptions for us. I think it was copies but our customers didn't notice, all subscription payments kept working.
- jackculpan 3y agowow you were lucky. I asked and asked and asked for this, but they said they don't offer it. they can only transfer the customer accounts, not the subscriptions.
- jackculpan 3y agoI thought this was crazy personally. They also begin to restrict payouts when they realize your address data is not matched up correctly with the account (i.e. UK and UK). I made a tool to fix this, making the migration process between an old Stripe account and a new account easy.
