A planet that Spins only once in one of its years probably isn't dipolar
- PaulHoule 3y agoMercury has a low rotation rate but it does have a weak magnetic field: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury%27s_magnetic_field https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury%27s_magnetic_field I'm not so sure how easy it is to make a compass that works on a weaker field.
