I don't believe a DAC is going to do anything for you, with Spotify. I agree with you there... but saying Spotify is already hifi? Absolutely not. My DAC plugged into Spotify does nothing for me, and I don't expect it to. Plug that DAC into Apple Music or Tidal, and put on a good pair of cans? Completely different world.
