Similar to you I can only speak from my somewhat limited experience and group of friends, but since moving here (Bergen) in January from Australia I've met a ton of very well educated, up to date and motivated people working on interesting things. On the other hand, it seems everyone else is working in Consultancies. I don't know what to make of that.
