We don't wear pagers in Startups because we're always connected. We use new forms of communications & technologies to make life easier (Twitter, SMS, Shit... even emails). The great thing about being in a startup is that you have the power to build things in anyway you want, which usually means in a way that will make your life easier, thus you don't have to carry a pager. Also, I don't even know where you would buy a pager anymore...
