Try to think of ways that coding may improve your current job and the day-to-day tasks involved. I strongly feel that when you are motivated by a thing you actually want or need, then it helps make learning go easier. For example, my brother works in sales/account mgmt, but was able to dip his toes into writing some Python scripts to automate some repetitive tasks.
