What's the point of automating stuff for Amazon if then the gains are taxed?

    Right! Workers aren't working shit jobs, the business still operates, consumers get the "consumer excess" benefits, shareholders still make a return, but the economics are kept in check. You want to optimize for all the good things above without enabling wild power imbalances via cashflows and wealth.
