Free speech is a protection relating to the government's ability to inhibit it, not a corporation's. Like, you can say what you want, unless that's also illegal (credible death threats, hate speech etc...) and the government won't stop you or imprison you, but no company is required to protect you or keep employing you based on that concept. There are other protections in place that limit corporations' ability to terminate you, just not relating to speech, at least in the US. I'm not sure how different the system in Ireland is.
