Twitter considering charging all users subscription fees
- PUSH_AX 3y agoIf I were going to pay for social media, I would expect to no longer be the 'product.' Would it become ad-free? I mean, it's a no-go for me regardless, but if you're a Twitter power user and it's both paid and has ads, you should be baulking.
- wildpeaks 3y agoBlue checks still get ads, so I doubt it would be ad-free.
- CatWChainsaw 3y agoIt would make sense, but that would require forfeiting a revenue stream. Good luck with that.
- penjelly 3y agogave twitter a good faith try when musk took over, but the rapid news cycle was too much noise for me, not enough substance. If he makes it pay to play there's 0 chance ill ever activate my account again
- aaronrobinson 3y agoThis reminds me of EasyJet’s marketing strategy of announcing they’re going to do things they know keeps them in them in the press. Like standing on planes. It’s just noise. I can understand why people might pay to get reach but for the average Joe Twitter is just another social platform and they’re just not going to pay for them. Facebook, Twitter, doesn’t matter.
