So this happened to be my experience too, but with a slight twist. In 2020, I was hearing strange sounds and went to the doctor - turns out it was earwax pressed against my ear drum and a bit of infection. In 2021, I had similar sounding noises and went to the doctor - turns out it wasn't earwax and he couldn't pinpoint on what the reason could be. It is 2023, I am still having that sound :(
