How are they planning on powering these devices? The original article doesn't mention . . . Solar seems the most obvious choice (to me).

  Solar in Scandinavia? One of the real problems with solar is that you need a lot of surface, which means more weight, which means more power needed...

    Solar is probably the best option for electronics but, battery weight may become an issue... This is an awesome idea for a repeater network. Its done in many countries. Just wait until they get their boat... ;-)

      It's not that I don't believe you, but it almost sounds too good to be true. Do you have any sources? What happens during night-time?
