I never understood why people calculate time savings like this. Similar for a developer 1 times 5 hours yields not the same producitiy/results as 5 times 1 hour

I never understood why people calculate time savings like this. Similar for a developer 1 times 5 hours yields not the same producitiy/results as 5 times 1 hours, due to "context switching overhead" for example. Claiming you saved a couple of lifetimes when all you can gain is a couple of seconds is so misleading.
