Do you know the lifetime of current battery technology? Expected years until 80% capacity, etc.? Asking because I don’t know.
- genocidicbunny 3y agoI do not, sorry. Until very recently, EV's weren't even a consideration for me, because of their limitations on range, but also because of difficulty of charging them if you lived in a condo or an apartment (heck, my current car is a Mazda, a company which _just_ started offering EVs in some markets). Because of that, I am not well versed in the specific details of the current generation of EVs. With that said, anecdotally, I have heard of old Prius hybrids getting 100k miles out of their batteries, but that was a decade ago. I don't know what modern battery chem is capable of.
