I'm skeptical of the legitimacy of any business that advertises itself mostly through spam.

  That's like saying you're skeptical of the Rolex business because "it advertises itself mostly through spam". Don't be silly, there are a number of vendors of pharmaceuticals online that are legitimate businesses, they are separate from the people who send you spam. It seems you probably don't have a condition that would lead you to need to know about their services. I wish you continued good luck on that front.
