Why is everyone ok with ChatGPT scraping Reddit's data and selling it back to you for a $20/mo subscription, but cringe at the thought of Reddit making a profit from their API? If anything the users creating the content should be the ones being paid. Your neural nets (which are not intelligence) and 3rd party apps wouldn't work at all if normal people didn't take their time to post useful content.
