  Cars aren't generally used as personal weapons. Their size, cost, and the difficulty deploying them rapidly (think of how long it takes to accelerate from stop compared to drawing a gun) makes them a poor fit for that roll.

    Not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse or not, but here's my comparison: "Complicated electronics" on a car are designed (usually) to make it safer. If those complicated electronics go wrong, it can cause injury or death. "Complicated electronics" on this gun are designed to make it safer. If those complicated electronics go wrong, it can cause injury or death. So if you won't use a gun because it has "complicated electronics" you shouldn't drive a modern car either.
