Ron DeSantis’s 2024 kickoff on Twitter is plagued by technical issues
- jazzyjackson 3y agoThe left is pointing and laughing at this instead of listening to the arguments their adversary is making. The man knows his rhetoric and is making a play for disgruntled ex-democrats.
- webshit2 3y agoThere's really no need to listen. Everyone knows his shtick. I didn't listen but can almost certainly summarize what he said: Woke woke woke blah blah blah mickey mouse and the cartels are grooming your children into transgender drug mules
- Zetobal 3y agoDid we listen to the same talk? It was barely coherent.
- papito 3y agoThe argument is that basic human decency is "woke". Did I get the gist of it?
- bruceb 3y agoEstablishment media is so desperate to attack both Musk and DeSantis. Every story has to be negative that is the rule. Twitter represents a (one of many) threats to their control. DeSantis might be the strongest threat to Biden, so he must be attacked. Amusingly what unites Hillary and Trump is attacking DeSantis. His fatal flaw is probably the 6 week abortion ban he signed in Florida. That is an ultimate wedge issue for many. Note: assessing someones viability isn't an endorsement.
- seanmcdirmid 3y agoI don’t see it. Unless voters are really unenthusiastic about Biden that they stay home, how is anyone who could win the Republican nomination (like DeSantis) going to win the national election? Before abortion was this abstract wedge issue that Republicans would campaign on but never make any actual progress, and now that isn’t true anymore. Not to mention that none of these people are very likable outside of the Republican base (so far). And why the heck a crusade against Disney over comments made by a member of the board. I thought Republicans were ok with private companies choosing their own policies.
- bruceb 3y agoJoe Biden is clearly declining health wise. Could he win again, absolutely. But he could also get worse quickly a few months before the election. Imagine debates where he can't remember anything. There are dems who want to replace him (Gavin Newsome so desperately) but no one with a possible future will risk taking him on. Biden approval ratings are low now: https://www.reuters.com/graphics/USA-BIDEN/POLL/nmopagnqapa/ https://www.reuters.com/graphics/USA-BIDEN/POLL/nmopagnqapa/ A non Trump R is going to win back states Trump lost in 2020 (GA, AZ). They have to win in MI, WI, PA etc. Will be hard but Trump did it in 2016.
- Zetobal 3y agoNope, the R. base likes fighting too much.
- inferiorhuman 3y agoJoe Biden is clearly declining health wise. What?
- seanmcdirmid 3y agoI guess they mean he’s old? I mean, compared to the last guy who was president he looks active, trim, lacks all the word salad, and healthy, but that’s a low bar to clear.

- croes 3y agoMaybe they should to something positive to report. BTW did DeSantis pay Twitter for that?
- martin1b 3y ago[flagged]
- steeler_train 3y agoI’m a DeSantis guy, but dear god he has no charisma or delivery. It was terrible. He’s gotta either get speech help, or take some blow.
